Terms and Conditions

  1. Agreement to Terms: Clients must read, understand, and agree to all terms and conditions before booking any tuition sessions.

  2. Payment Terms: Clients must ensure payment is made in full and on time before any lessons take place.

  3. Cancellation Policy:

    • A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required for cancellations.

    • If a lesson is cancelled due to illness, clients must provide at least one hour's notice to avoid being charged for the lesson.

  4. Online Lessons:

    • If in-person lessons are not possible, clients may be asked to conduct the lesson online via Zoom.

    • All online lessons should be conducted with the camera on. Students must not turn off the camera without the express permission of the tutor.

  5. Frequent Cancellations:

    • Frequent cancellations without valid reasons may result in the forfeiture of any refund entitlement, in accordance with the terms and conditions.

  6. Safeguarding and Health Information:

    • The client must inform the service provider of any learning difficulties (e.g., autism, dyslexia) or medical conditions (e.g., allergies, asthma) the student may have, so that appropriate support can be provided.

  7. Client Responsiveness:

    • The client must respond to queries from the tutor or service provider in a timely manner. Failure to do so may result in the termination of services.

  8. Lesson Scheduling:

    • Clients are required to book at least one lesson per week at a fixed time slot, unless otherwise agreed with the tutor.

  9. Termination of Contract:

    • Clients must provide at least two weeks' notice if they wish to terminate the contract or discontinue services.

  10. GDPR Compliance:

    • Clients agree that their personal data will be stored and processed in accordance with GDPR regulations.

  11. Right to Withhold or Terminate Service:

    • The service provider reserves the right to withhold or terminate lessons if the terms and conditions are not met or if the provider believes expectations are not being fulfilled.

  12. Permission for Advertising:

    • Parental or guardian permission will be sought before using a learner’s image for advertising or promotional purposes.


Additional Notes

  1. Learner Support: The service supports learners in their studies but does not provide books or stationery. Parents must ensure their child comes fully prepared with the necessary materials (e.g. pen, a notebook, a calculator, etc.).

  2. Supervision for Younger Students: For younger students or those requiring supervision, a parent or guardian should be present in an adjacent or nearby room, ready to assist if needed during the lesson.

  3. Pet Management During Lessons: To maintain a focused and distraction-free learning environment, pets should be kept separate from the lesson space.

  4. Creating an Ideal Learning Environment: To foster a productive and enjoyable learning experience, students, parents, or their guardians should ensure the learning environment is fully prepared, with the following features:

  • A quiet and well-lit atmosphere.

  • A suitable table and chairs (excluding sofas or beds).

  • A clear table to provide ample space for the tutor’s laptop and materials.

  • A reasonably spacious area, free from distractions and noise.

  • Access to power and a stable internet connection.
